Champions League: "Sabah" earned a spot in the III qualifying round
The second leg of the UEFA Champions League II qualifying round took place, in which Finnish "KuPS" hosted Azerbaijani "Sabah".
The match was played at the "Savon Sanomat Arena" stadium in Kuopio (Finland) and ended in favor of the visitors with a score of 2:0.
In the 52nd minute, "the Owls'" winger Veljko Simić scored. In the 70th minute, midfielder Joy-Lance Mickels sealed the final result.
The first meeting between the teams, held last week in Baku, ended with a victory for the Azerbaijani club with a score of 1:0.
Thus, "Sabah" secured a spot in the III qualifying round of the tournament. The champion of Azerbaijan will face at this stage the winner of the "Aarhus" (Denmark) - "Lech" (Poland) matchup.
