Azerbaijani boxers completed the European Championship with 8 medals

Azerbaijani boxers won 8 medals at the European U-15 Championship held in Budva (Montenegro) - 2 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, Khumar Jafarli (75 kg) took gold by defeating Turkish athlete Yagmur Eryurtu in the final with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). For the first time in the history of our boxing, a female athlete won the European championship title in the U-15 age category.

Her success was repeated by Mehran Rasulov (80 kg), who won in the decisive bout against Ukrainian Sergiy Kotovsky with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 29:28, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27). This is Rasulov's third award at European championships in his career. Before this, he had won bronze medals twice.

Nasrin Abdullazade (40 kg), Nurlan Museibli (66 kg), Yusif Agakishiyev (75 kg) won silver medals, while Onur Gurbanov (42 kg), Eljan Musazade (50 kg) and Erdem Tekin (90 kg) won bronze.

The Azerbaijan national team ranked 6th in the team standings at the European Championship, which was attended by 369 athletes from 32 countries.
