8-year-old gymnast Elif Gadzhieva won gold at an international tournament in Istanbul

On June 26-29, the international rhythmic gymnastics competition "International Performance Cup 2025" was held in Istanbul. Athletes from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Moldova presented performances they had been preparing for many months.

As reported by BAKU.WS, at the international tournament in Turkey, Elif Hajiyeva, who represented our country among athletes born in 2016 in category B with a hoop exercise, scored the highest number of points, took first place, and was awarded a gold medal.

8-year-old gymnast Elif Hajiyeva also received a cup for artistry, which is considered an important component in rhythmic gymnastics.

It should be noted that about 50 athletes from 4 sports clubs of Azerbaijan participated in the international competition.

Elif Hajiyeva, a student of coaches Nazira Salmanzade and Nigar Khankishiyeva, represented the "Su idmanı" (Water Sports) club at the international competition. The club's athletes returned to their homeland with a total result of 8 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
