2026 World Cup: Portugal and DR Congo national teams draw

The Group K matchday 1 game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup between the national teams of Portugal and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has taken place.

The game was held at NRG Stadium (Houston, USA) and ended in a 1:1 draw.

In the 6th minute, the European team's midfielder João Neves scored. In the 45+5 minute, DRC forward Yoane Wissa equalized. Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes but was unable to make any goal contributions.

It should be noted that on June 18, the Group K match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Colombia will also take place. Kickoff is at 06:00.
