2026 World Cup: Portugal advance to the Round of 16 with a come-from-behind victory over Croatia

The Portugal national football team secured a comeback victory over Croatia and advanced to the Round of 16 of the World Cup.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the match at BMO Field stadium in Toronto, Canada, ended with a score of 2:1.

The Croatians opened the scoring, with Ivan Perišić finding the net on the 53rd minute. However, the Portuguese managed to turn the tide of the match. First, on the 68th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo equalized, and then in the 4th minute of added time, Gonçalo Ramos scored the winning goal.

It should be noted that Portugal's opponent in the Round of 16 will be the Spanish national team.
