Educational institutions that will conduct competitive admission to first grades have been announced.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the State Agency for Preschool and General Education, admission of children to the first grades of Baku European Lyceum, Republican Art Gymnasium, Bulbul Secondary Special Music School, both in Azerbaijani and Russian sectors, will be conducted on a competitive basis. When admitting children, no advantage is given for any priority.

At the same time, admission of children who do not have priority advantages to the first grades of I. Efendiyev Elite Gymnasium, School-Lyceum at Baku Slavic University, T. Hasanov Complete Secondary School No. 23, Educational Complex No. 132-134, T. Ismayilov School-Lyceum No. 6, and the Russian department of "Zengi" Lyceum will be conducted on a competitive basis.

It should be noted that admission to the first grades with instruction in Azerbaijani language at Baku European Lyceum, Republican Art Gymnasium and Bulbul Secondary Special Music School is carried out based on the conclusion of competitive commissions organized to test children's special preparation. Admission to the first grades of the Russian department of these educational institutions is conducted based on an interview organized to test oral skills in the given language, and the conclusion of competitive commissions organized to test children's special preparation.
