According to statistics, the cost of hygiene products increases by an average of 10-15 percent annually. The category of products with rising prices includes tissues, toothpaste, soap, and laundry detergents. Since these products are part of everyday life, the price increase causes particular concern.

As reported by Baku.ws, economist Khalid Kerimli attributes the price increase to imports and rising gasoline and diesel fuel prices.

"The hygiene products market in Azerbaijan depends on imports. Local production is practically non-existent, and existing enterprises only handle packaging. When imported products become more expensive, price increases are inevitable. The rise in gasoline and diesel fuel prices also affects price increases across all sectors of the economy. Transportation costs are rising, which leads to price increases," he explained in his interview with the "Xəbərin olsun" program.

The expert noted that consumers can also order such products from foreign countries.
