The Prosecutor General's Office uncovered a network of environmental crimes in metropolitan districts

The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan conducted an investigation into violations of environmental protection and ecological safety rules based on information received from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR).

As a result of the investigation, environmental violations were identified by Venera Project in Khatai district, Esila Trading and Payitaht Restaurant in Yasamal district, and Crystal Mebel İnteryer operating in Biladjari. Illegal waste storage was also detected on A.M.Sharifzade Street in Yasamal district.

Administrative cases have been initiated for the violations under Articles 233.1, 237.1, 266.2, 271, and 275.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The materials have been sent to the court and MENR for further investigation.
