More than 100 students from 11 countries have applied to transfer to Azerbaijan - OFFICIAL

More than 100 applications have been received from 11 foreign countries for the 2025/26 academic year regarding the transfer of students studying abroad to Azerbaijani universities.

BAKU.WS reports that this was stated by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education in response to a query from "Report".

It was noted that the number of rejected applications does not exceed 10 percent of total applications. The main reasons for rejection were cited as the absence of grounds stipulated in the legislation and poor academic performance.

It was emphasized that individuals admitted to foreign higher education institutions based on attestation certificates cannot be transferred to higher education institutions within the country according to current regulations.

The Ministry of Science and Education, in response to "Report's" inquiry, stated that when the results of appeal applications regarding student transfers are ready, appropriate information will be provided to the public.
