JOYFUL NEWS for mandatory insurance users

Migraine is one of the most common neurological diseases and is characterized by recurrent attacks of severe headache. This pain often limits the patient's daily activities, reduces work capacity, and significantly worsens quality of life. Timely detection and proper treatment of migraine is extremely important for improving the patient's quality of life.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the mandatory health insurance package covers a range of medical services for the diagnosis and treatment of migraine. Thanks to these services, it becomes possible to accurately diagnose migraine, monitor the course of the disease, and develop an individualized treatment plan.
The diagnosis of migraine is made based on clinical assessment (neurological examination) and the application of necessary instrumental diagnostic methods. For accurate determination of the cause of the disease and exclusion of other neurological disorders, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electroencephalography (EEG) are conducted at the expense of mandatory health insurance. MRI examination allows obtaining a detailed image of the brain, timely identifying other possible causes of headaches (brain tumor, stroke, etc.). EEG examination, by recording the electrical activity of the brain, helps distinguish migraine attacks from other conditions that may give similar clinical symptoms, such as epilepsy.
These examinations create conditions for confirming that complaints characteristic of migraine are indeed related to this disease. Thus, with the help of modern diagnostic tools, it is possible to accurately assess the cause of severe, usually localized to one side of the head, pulsating headache, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and sound that occur during migraine attacks. As a result, the neurologist determines an effective treatment method for the patient and achieves a reduction in the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks.
Also, inpatient treatment of migraine according to medical indications is carried out at the expense of mandatory health insurance. To receive these services, citizens need to first consult a family doctor or specialist (neurologist). These services – consultation with a neurologist, instrumental diagnostic examinations such as MRI and EEG, as well as providing the patient with medications during inpatient treatment – are performed according to medical indications in state medical institutions subordinate to TEBIB and relevant research institutes of the Ministry of Health.
For information, we note that various internal and external factors can trigger the onset of migraine attacks. Among the most common irritating factors are severe stress, sleep disturbances or insomnia, hormonal changes (especially in women during menstruation), exposure to bright light or loud sound, as well as consumption of certain foods (for example, chocolate, caffeinated beverages, etc.). By avoiding risk factors and through proper treatment, migraine can be controlled and normal life activity restored.
