Information about the implementation of the "Carpet" plan was transmitted 8 minutes after the main control systems failed on the AZAL aircraft that crashed near Aktau.
This is stated in the preliminary report of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport on the results of the aviation accident investigation.
"At 05:13:32, the main control systems on the aircraft failed; at 05:21:42, the interaction controller informed Grozny about the implementation of operation 'Carpet'," the document states.
Recall that the AZAL passenger aircraft, operating the Baku-Grozny flight, crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Of the 67 people on board the aircraft, 38 died and 29 survived.
According to preliminary data, the aircraft crashed as a result of physical and technical external impact in the airspace of the Russian Federation over Grozny.
