In Baku, a car ran over a security guard: details of the incident

On June 11, a body of a 51-year-old man was found on the Govsan - Turkan road. According to preliminary information, he was hit by a car whose driver fled the scene.

According to one of the witnesses, the deceased worked as a security guard on the territory of Türkan Aqropark.

"A white VAZ-2107 ran him over. When the police arrived at the scene of the incident, the driver was already gone. They say that this person was not a resident of the Turkan settlement. He lived in the house of an entrepreneur as a security guard," he noted.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that on the evening of June 11, in the territory of the Turkan settlement of the Khazar district of Baku, an unknown driver hit a pedestrian, Famil Ismayilov (born 1974), who was walking on the side of the road.

"Later, the perpetrator fled the scene. The pedestrian died from his injuries. As a result of operational search activities conducted by the officers of the Khazar District Police Department, the driver of the VAZ-2107 car, Vugar Nadirov (born 1980), was detained," the department reported.
