In Azerbaijan, communication between 7 villages and the district center has been interrupted due to snow and rain
Traffic is restricted on the roads leading to the villages of Gryz, Haput, Elik, Jek, Bostankesh, Galakhudat and Khinalig in the Guba district.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to APA, up to 1 meter of snow has fallen on the section from the 37th to the 50th km of the Guba-Ispik-Khinalig road. At the same time, as a result of heavy rains, various sections of the road were blocked by stones and rock fragments. Work is currently underway to open the road.
The Guba-Alpan-Khinalig road, an alternative road leading to the above-mentioned villages, is also closed due to snow.
Heavy rains have also damaged the electrical infrastructure. Electric poles have collapsed, wires are broken.
The power supply to these villages has been interrupted.
