Fraud under the guise of social assistance: SFSF warned citizens

A fake page called Azərbaycan Sosial Yardım 2025 has appeared on Facebook, which allegedly offers assistance in obtaining targeted social assistance in the amount of 3,399 manats. However, in reality, it was created to deceive citizens and steal their funds.
This was written by Rashad Mehdili, press secretary of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF), on his Facebook page.
According to him, after visiting the page, users are asked to register by filling out an application for social assistance.
"We urge citizens to be vigilant, not to trust fake pages, not to fall for false and tempting promises, and not to share their personal data with fraudsters.
We remind you once again that targeted state social assistance for low-income families is assigned only on the basis of an electronic application submitted by their representatives. The process is carried out without anyone's intervention and is not associated with any pages on social networks," added the department representative.
