Citizens of Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, and Vietnam evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan

Against the backdrop of the tense situation in Iran, another group of citizens - from Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, and Vietnam - was evacuated through the territory of Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, among the evacuees are employees of diplomatic missions, their family members, as well as individuals working in various fields in Iran.
Over the past five days, citizens of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, as well as individual citizens of the USA, Spain, Portugal, Finland, and the Philippines have been evacuated to Azerbaijan through the "Astara" checkpoint.
The largest group of evacuees are representatives of Russian art who had been participating in a film shooting in Iran for a month.
Among those evacuated yesterday evening was also an Italian citizen, carpet scientist Tahir Sepahi, originally from Iranian South Azerbaijan (Ardabil province), who arrived in Azerbaijan with his family. According to him, he currently resides in Italy.
The evacuation continues during nighttime as well. Foreign citizens are transported by buses to the airport for subsequent return to their homeland.
