Butter has become the leader in price increases among products in Russia over the past decade.

As reported by BAKU.WS, according to information from the Russian newspaper "Parliament," which references the report "On the State of Consumer Rights Protection," butter has shown a record price increase among food products.

Over the past 10 years, from 2014 to 2024, the cost of butter has increased most significantly - from 339 rubles (approximately 7.27 manats) to 927 rubles (about 19.87 manats) per kilogram.

According to "Rosstat," the top three products with the highest price increases also included frozen fish, which rose from 98 to 244 rubles per kilogram, and apples, the price of which increased from 68 to 160 rubles.

"Since 2014, the price of beef has doubled - from 252 to 560 rubles per kilogram, the cost of chicken meat has also increased almost twofold - from 117 to 221 rubles. Milk has become 1.9 times more expensive over the decade - up to 78 rubles per liter," the article notes.
