A sleeping man was brutally killed in a mosque in Baku

On the night of July 26, a brutal murder occurred at the Imam Ummet mosque, located in the Bulbulya settlement of the capital.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Qafqazinfo, around 4 a.m., Nadir Safarov, born in 1990, was killed in the prayer hall of the mosque while he was sleeping. The man received 32 stab wounds and died at the scene.
As a result of operational search activities, the police detained a suspect in the crime - Elvin Mamedov, born in 1996.
It is reported that Elvin, a participant in the Patriotic War, has psychological problems. According to preliminary data, shortly before the incident, a conflict arose between the parties due to personal relationships.
It is noted that the murdered N. Safarov was a respected person in Bulbulya and known as a philanthropist.
A criminal case has been initiated at the prosecutor's office of the Surakhani district regarding the murder, and an investigation is underway.
