Singer Vera Brezhneva shared an archive photo with her fans, showing how she looked in her youth.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Gazeta.ru, she published the photo on Instagram.

"If I ever look back, it's only to tell myself: 'I am proud of you'," wrote the artist.

Earlier, the celebrity revealed in an interview that she faced bullying during her school years. The future singer was teased because of poverty: her parents could not afford to buy her fashionable and expensive clothes, which made her the object of ridicule. According to her, the support of loved ones and the warm atmosphere in the family helped her to get through this.

The performer was born in Ukrainian Dneprodzerzhinsk, her real name is Vera Galushka. She took her stage pseudonym in honor of the Secretary General of the USSR, who was also from this city. The artist's father, Viktor Galushka, worked as an engineer at the Pridneprovsky Chemical Plant, and her mother, Tamara Permyakova, was a nurse at the same enterprise. The family with four children lived modestly, so the future singer started working early. Brezhneva noted that it was these difficult circumstances that helped shape her character.

The artist has two children: 24-year-old Sonya from businessman Vitaly Voichenko and 15-year-old Sarah from entrepreneur Mikhail Kiperman.
