Shocking confession of Miley Cyrus: how "vintage clothing" masked drug addiction
Miley Cyrus candidly spoke about her past: the singer admitted how she skillfully disguised drug expenses from her own accountant.
Popular publication Independent published the artist's shocking confession.
The celebrity didn't hide that she actively used illegal substances while working on the album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, released in 2015. To conceal her addiction from financial oversight, she devised an ingenious scheme - all expenses for drugs were recorded as purchases of vintage clothing.
"Drugs were the biggest expense item, and to hide this from my accountant, we called them 'vintage clothing'. And so she would receive these receipts constantly during the tour," the singer shared.
Over time, the accountant began to show curiosity about the star's numerous acquisitions.
"And every time she saw me, she would say: 'Where is that $15,000 John Lennon t-shirt you bought?' To answer: 'Oh, it's upstairs. Want some?' Yes, I bought a lot of 'vintage clothing' that year," Cyrus candidly admits.
Now the 32-year-old performer speaks with relief about being able to overcome this difficult period of her life, and strongly recommends that no one follow her example.
