Details of Raksana Ismayilova's arrest have been revealed

New details of singer Raksana Ismayilova's arrest have been revealed.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Milli.Az, the artist committed fraud two years ago by promising to free an Azerbaijani businessman who was imprisoned in Russia's capital Moscow.

According to the information, the entrepreneur's relatives gave the performer 520,000 dollars. In exchange for this amount, she promised to secure his release from prison. However, despite the time that has passed, the specified person has not been released.

After a complaint from his relatives, a criminal case was initiated, under which R.Ismayilova was arrested.

Note that a criminal case has been opened against the singer under Article 178.4 (fraud causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of ten to fourteen years.

At the same time, full compensation for the damage caused and payment of the state fee may change the situation. In such a case, criminal proceedings may be terminated without exculpatory grounds.

Recall that R.Ismayilova is accused of fraudulently taking possession of citizens' gold jewelry worth 35,000 manats and cash in the amount of 520,000 dollars. The court chose a preventive measure against her in the form of arrest for a period of four months.
