A famous singer sold all his property to build a factory in his native village
Famous Turkish singer Berdan Mardini invested enormous funds in his native village, making a move that astonished many.
As reported by BAKU.WS, in a tiny village with only 78 houses, the artist built an entire factory, implementing a project that attracted attention from both an economic and social perspective.
Mardini said that work on the project began back in 2016, and to bring it to life, he directed absolutely all of his financial resources:
"I invested everything I had into this project. I sold my houses, sold my cars."
The total investment in the project amounted to approximately 10 million dollars, which caused considerable surprise among the singer's circle. According to him, many considered this decision extremely risky.
The built enterprise has established production of Damascena rose-based products. The product range includes rose oil, perfumery, and rose lemonade.
A special place in the project is dedicated to reviving the cultivation of Rose damascena roses, which form the foundation of the entire production.
The artist also emphasized the social significance of his endeavor, stating that the main goal is to stop the outflow of population from villages to cities.
"I want people to live happily on their own land... My main priority in this endeavor is increasing employment among women," he noted.
Once the factory reaches full capacity, 450 to 500 new jobs will be created in the region.
