Youth and National Values - The Foundation of Azerbaijan's Future

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev views youth as the key to the state's power, to the eternal freedom of the nation.

For example, independent Azerbaijan is built on national values. Their preservation and protection must be one of the most important tasks of the youth of independent Azerbaijan.

This is stated in a video material of the Baku TV channel.

It is noted that the head of state reminds young people of their duties and main goals - not to lose their national characteristics, because the main duty of a young person should be to put the interests of the state above all else. This is within the power not of cosmopolitans uniting around abstract "values," but of bearers of national essence and qualities.

The implementation of overseas education programs, the creation of a class of strong specialists are also part of a successful state youth policy. However, this is not a novelty for independent Azerbaijan. Thus, back in Soviet times, on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev, hundreds of Azerbaijani young people were sent to leading higher educational institutions of the Soviet Union, moreover on preferential terms. In no other union republic did a similar program exist. The goal was to give youth new knowledge.
