US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the corresponding congratulatory message was published on the official website of the US Department of State.

"On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on Independence Day.

Over the past year, we have elevated our relations to the level of a strategic partnership, culminating in the signing of a Strategic Partnership Charter in Baku by Vice President JD Vance and President Ilham Aliyev. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership by expanding regional infrastructure, economic ties, and security cooperation.

The United States welcomes Azerbaijan's commitment to lasting peace in the South Caucasus and looks forward to continuing our cooperation in these efforts. We look forward to deepening our partnership in the coming year and beyond," the congratulatory message reads.
