US Secretary of State congratulated Azerbaijan

The United States congratulates Azerbaijan and Armenia on reaching a historic peace agreement.

This is stated in the statement of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio distributed by the State Department.

"Under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia (Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan - ed.) have agreed to conclude a peace agreement that will end decades of conflict. This historic agreement will strengthen the region and open new doors for American trade and investment. Congratulations to both countries on the beginning of a new era of peace," Rubio noted.
