Today is the anniversary of the death of Polad Hashimov and Ilgar Mirzayev

Today marks the anniversary of the heroic death of Major General Polad Hashimov and Colonel Ilgar Mirzayev.

As reported by BAKU.WS, both servicemen of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan were heroically killed on the front line of defense during the Tovuz battles on July 14, 2020.

By the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 9, 2022, Polad Hashimov and Ilgar Mirzayev were awarded the title of "National Hero of Azerbaijan."

They were buried on July 15 at the 2nd Alley of Honorable Burial.
