The President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for assistance in the revival of Karabakh
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for assistance in the revival of Karabakh.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the head of the Azerbaijani state said this in a joint statement with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
"We express special gratitude for the assistance in the revival of Karabakh. Uzbekistan was the first country, President Mirziyoyev was the first leader in the world who immediately, on his own initiative, provided assistance in the restoration of the Karabakh region. And the first social educational infrastructure facility - this very school, which was built by Uzbekistan, and which Shavkat Miromonovich and I opened, bears the name of the great son of the Uzbek people Mirza Ulugbek, where children who have returned to the land of their ancestors are now studying," noted President Ilham Aliyev.
