The new Ambassador of Azerbaijan presented credentials to the President of Kazakhstan
Newly appointed Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan Alimirzamin Askerov presented his credentials to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the diplomat presented his credentials to the head of state at a ceremony at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
In addition to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, ambassadors of Moldova, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of South Africa, Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, and Namibia also presented their credentials.
In his welcoming remarks, Tokayev noted Kazakhstan's commitment to a peaceful foreign policy course and emphasized the country's aspiration to contribute to strengthening peace, security, and cooperation.
In conclusion, the head of state confirmed Kazakhstan's interest in further strengthening relations and developing multifaceted cooperation with the represented countries.
As a reminder, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev replaced the ambassador to Kazakhstan on July 28. Previously, this position was held by Agalar Atamoglanov. Askerov, in turn, previously headed the diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan in Tajikistan.
