The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan is making a visit to Uzbekistan

At the invitation of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, on October 20, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, arrived in Samarkand to participate in the "High-Level Observer Day" during the "Unity - 2025" exercises.

In Samarkand, Colonel General Z. Hasanov met with his Uzbek counterpart.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of military, military-technical cooperation and cooperation in the field of military education, and emphasized the importance of conducting joint exercises in terms of exchanging experience.

At the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Huseyn Guliyev, the level of established military cooperation was highly appreciated, and the parties held a broad exchange of views on expanding this cooperation.
