President Ilham Aliyev received Jeyhun Jalilov in connection with his appointment to the position of Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as newly appointed heads of executive authority of Narimanov district of Baku city, Balakan, Goychay, Gakh, Goygol, Kurdamir districts.

Elkhan Ibrahimov has been appointed as the Head of Executive Authority (EA) of Narimanov district of Baku by Presidential decree. Previously, he was the head of EA of Kurdamir district. Natig Agayev has been appointed to the position of head of EA of Balakan district, Orkhan Mursalov - head of EA of Goychay district, Elvin Pashayev - Gakh, Vugar Novruzov - Goygol, Elshan Hasanli - Kurdamir district.

The former head of Narimanov district, Asif Askerov, was relieved of his duties in September 2024. He is now a deputy of the Milli Mejlis.

It would seem to be the usual practice of rotating heads of executive authority who have properly managed to fulfill all their duties at their previous workplace. However, the head of state gathered them all together for a reason, writes the newspaper "Caspian". He not only gave guidance for further activities for the benefit of the Motherland but also strictly warned them.

"You are being appointed to leadership positions in various regions of our country. You have been given great trust, and I am confident that you will justify it, through your work and efforts you will do everything to fulfill the tasks ahead of you," the President said. Ilham Aliyev called the instructions that he gives with each appointment of persons to leadership positions in the regions the main principles of work. And this is primarily about serving the people, being with the people.

"Every person working in a leadership position, every official should be modest. In life, in everyday life, he himself, his close relatives should behave in such a way that there are no complaints regarding our common cause," the President said, noting with regret that "in some cases, officials behave inappropriately in society, show excessive arrogance, try to put themselves above everyone else, thereby losing their own authority and simultaneously discrediting our state and its policies."

He emphasized that in a number of cases, they engage in corruption and bribery.

The head of state, receiving the appointees, was very categorical in his requirements, reminding those gathered that "any government official engaged in unsavory affairs will ultimately have to answer before the court, the law." He demanded that the newly appointed heads of executive authority conduct a serious fight against unsightly phenomena, and in their personnel policy select reliable, professional, and morally clean cadres. That is, to prove through their work in the regions that they will lead, the correctness of the head of state's choice. "Otherwise, of course, necessary measures will be taken," the President said, making it clear that there will be no leniency.
