Sherzod Khodjaev: Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are discussing the production of petroleum products
Joint production of petroleum products, including automotive and aviation fuel for the needs of Uzbekistan, is one of the promising areas of energy cooperation between Baku and Tashkent.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, Uzbekistan's Minister of Energy Sherzod Khodjaev stated this on the "Uzbekistan 24" TV channel.
According to him, cooperation in the energy sector is developing in several directions. One of them is a project for the extraction of hydrocarbons on the Ustyurt Plateau, where relevant work is currently being carried out. Another direction the minister mentioned is the supply of electricity generated from renewable sources in Uzbekistan to Europe through Azerbaijan with the participation of Kazakhstan.
"Another direction proposed today is the joint production of petroleum products, including automotive and aviation fuel, for the needs of Uzbekistan," he said.
The minister added that the supply of "green" energy produced in Uzbekistan to Europe in cooperation with Azerbaijan also has great prospects.
