Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Ilham Aliyev

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:

"Dear Ilham Heydar oglu.

My dear brother.

I am very pleased to cordially congratulate Your Excellency and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan and express my best wishes on the occasion of the national holiday - the Independence Day of your country.

I would like to especially note that under your wise leadership, important transformations and large-scale reforms are being carried out in all spheres in Azerbaijan, the well-being and living standards of the people are increasing, and extensive construction work and improvement projects are being undertaken in the regions.

Recently, it was precisely on your initiative that the 13th session of the World Urban Forum was organized at the highest level and successfully held in the beautiful and unique city of Baku. This is yet another vivid demonstration of the ever-growing authority and standing of Azerbaijan on the international stage.

Of course, the rapid development of cooperation between our two countries in the political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other priority spheres, and the elevation of our strategic partnership and alliance relations to an entirely new level in recent years thanks to our joint and resolute efforts, give us great satisfaction.
