Secretary General of the BSEC PA congratulated the President of Azerbaijan

Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Asaf Hajiyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President,

I heartily congratulate you on the great victory in establishing peace.

You have written another brilliant page in the history of independent Azerbaijan. This peaceful victory is based on your profound policy, high education and intellect, subtle diplomacy, foresight, love for Azerbaijan and its spiritual values.

Back in 2003, when you were elected President of Azerbaijan, you stated that not a single inch of Azerbaijani land could be subject to discussion. The years have shown that you always remain true to your promises, and therefore today the world perceives you as a pragmatic Leader who keeps his word.

Under your leadership, our victorious Army won the 44-day Second Karabakh War, and the territorial integrity of our country was ensured.

By signing the declaration of peace in the United States these days, you have put an end to a conflict that lasted more than 30 years. Today, every citizen of Azerbaijan bows before our sons and daughters who gave their lives for our independence and territorial integrity.

The kind words addressed to you by US President Donald Trump at the signing ceremony of the peace declaration are a great honor for every Azerbaijani. This is a high appreciation of the policy you have been pursuing for many years.

The agreement achieved as a result of your activities is not only a triumph of peace between two states but also a great achievement for our region, which will bring development and prosperity to it. Although Azerbaijan is a small state on the political map of the world, as a result of your policy, our country occupies a special place on it. Thanks to the policy you pursue, you occupy a special place among the world's leading politicians, and every Azerbaijani is proud of this.

Once again, I heartily congratulate you on the great victory, and wish Your Excellency good health and great success in your activities".
