The solar energy potential in Nakhchivan is enormous. According to the conducted monitoring and precise analysis, Nakhchivan is the most favorable location for solar electricity production on the territory of Azerbaijan.
As reported by AZERTAJ, this was stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Azerbaijan Television in Nakhchivan.
Noting that a territory of more than 600 hectares has already been allocated, the head of state emphasized that solar power plants with a capacity of hundreds of megawatts will be built there.
