# President of Russia on the AZAL aircraft disaster: Our duty is to give an objective assessment of what happened

Russian President Vladimir Putin considers it important to provide an objective assessment of the AZAL aircraft disaster.

As reported by BAKU.WS, he stated this during a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Dushanbe.

"Our duty is to provide an objective assessment of everything that happened and identify the true causes. But this requires a certain amount of time. In order to finally put a period on it, probably some more time will be needed," he said.
