President of Azerbaijan: We live not in the world that exists in the UN Charter, but on real earth, so we must be strong
Unfortunately, international law does not work. Azerbaijan has become one of the first victims of the ineffectiveness of international law.
As reported by AZERTAG, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.
Stating that four UN Security Council resolutions demanding the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azerbaijan's territory remained on paper for 27 years, the head of state emphasized that they would have remained on paper forever if we had not liberated our lands by force.
Recalling that in the five years since the Second Karabakh War, the whole world, the international community, including leading countries and international institutions, have accepted the new reality, the President of Azerbaijan noted: "We do not live in the world that exists on paper - in the UN Charter, but on real land. Therefore, we must be strong, and that is exactly what we are trying to do. And I recommend every state to do the same."
