President Ilham Aliyev signed an order regarding the city of Shusha

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on measures related to declaring the city of Shusha as the "Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization" for 2026.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the document states:
"At the 5th meeting of the tourism ministers of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization, held in the city of Ardabil of the Islamic Republic of Iran on October 5, 2023, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan - the city of Shusha was declared the "Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization" for 2026. This decision is an expression of special respect for one of the important centers of historical, cultural, social and political life of Azerbaijan - Shusha, and will play its role in further expanding cooperation between member states in the field of tourism.
Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I decree:
1. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall:
1.1. prepare and implement an action plan related to declaring the city of Shusha as the "Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization" for 2026;
1.2. resolve other issues arising from this order".
