President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

As reported by AZERTAJ, the letter states:

"Dear Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly,

I am pleased to convey to you and through you to your brotherly people my warmest congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Republic Day.

Kazakhstan's significant achievements in all spheres, its economic development, growing welfare of the population, and high standing in the international arena are the result of large-scale reforms carried out under your leadership and your tireless activities.

The common historical and cultural roots of our peoples is one of the key factors determining cooperation between our states. The relations between our brotherly countries are developing in a spirit of mutual trust and deep respect. The Treaty "On Strategic Partnership and Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan," the 20th anniversary of which is being celebrated this year, clearly reflects the strategic essence of our interstate ties.

The intensity of our political contacts, the existence of mutual understanding and active dialogue at the highest level create a favorable basis for further deepening cooperation in various fields, particularly in trade and economic, energy including green energy, transport, investment, information technology, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.

The results and agreements reached during my recent state visit to your brotherly country, and the documents we signed are a clear example of our unwavering will and determination to further deepen bilateral relations.

I am convinced that we will continue to successfully pursue our joint efforts to strengthen Azerbaijani-Kazakh brotherhood, reliable strategic partnership and alliance, and comprehensive expansion of our cooperation.
