As reported by AZERTAJ, this was stated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev while speaking at the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan.
"Today, a new stage is beginning, or I would even say it has already begun - a stage of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. And to reach the initialing of a peace agreement in less than two years after the last military clashes indicates that both countries have demonstrated a sufficiently high level of political will," noted the head of state.
He emphasized that the role of US President Donald Trump in normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia deserves the highest praise.
