If Azerbaijan fully withdraws from the Council of Europe, no one in our country will even notice. In other words, nothing will particularly change. Yes, perhaps it is better to remain a member of the Council, I don't know.

As reported by AZERTAC, President Ilham Aliyev stated this at the opening of the IV Shusha Global Media Forum.

"We do not want to enter into confrontation, especially when it comes to the regular attacks by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament on Azerbaijan. I repeat: they are taking unfounded steps against us. One could say it is some kind of obsession on their part," the head of state emphasized.
