Pezeshkian: Azerbaijan is our homeland!

Today, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made a statement about relations with Azerbaijan during his visit to Zanjan. He reacted sharply to criticism regarding his recent visit to Baku.

This was reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel "Free Iran".

"Azerbaijan is like family to us! How can it be that I go there and don't reach any agreements? We cannot establish contact, but Israel can?" - Pezeshkian stated.

The President also added that if relations are not being built between the two neighboring countries, the responsibility lies with the Iranian side:

"If the connection is not established - the fault is ours!"
