Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the President of Azerbaijan

Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by AZERTAG, the message states:

"Your Excellency.

On behalf of our people and myself, it is with great pleasure that I extend my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of your birthday. May Almighty Allah grant you good health and many happy days.

Looking back at the ending year, I feel immense satisfaction with the positive development of our bilateral relations. These relations have been further strengthened after my visits to your beautiful country for bilateral meetings in February and May of this year, as well as for participation in the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Khankendi in July and in the parade dedicated to the Day of Glorious Victory in Baku in November.

With each visit to Azerbaijan, I have increasingly admired the beauty and natural wealth of your country, and my love for your friendly and hospitable brotherly people has grown even more.

Our cooperation in the economic sphere is also developing successfully, and we are currently finalizing the terms related to Azerbaijan's $2 billion investment in Pakistan. This project will transform the lives of our peoples while ensuring mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

Your Excellency, I would like to recall my acquaintance during my visit to Baku with the activities of the ASAN xidmət center. Since then, our countries have been working together to establish a Pakistan Asan Xidmət center in Islamabad with the aim of providing innovative and citizen-oriented solutions, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and institutional integrity in public services. As a result of several months of ongoing work, the Pakistan Asan Xidmət center will be ready by January 10, 2026, and an opening ceremony will take place. The new Pakistan Asan Xidmət center will undoubtedly demonstrate to the world that our peoples benefit from cooperation in all spheres of life, including in the provision of efficient and modern public services.
