Meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the UAE held in Abu Dhabi

On July 9, a meeting took place in Abu Dhabi between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
As reported by BAKU.WS, during the conversation it was emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates, based on friendship and brotherhood, have the character of strategic partnership, political ties are at a high level, and trade and economic cooperation is developing.
The visits of President Ilham Aliyev to the United Arab Emirates in January of this year and President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Azerbaijan were noted with satisfaction, and it was said that during these visits, comprehensive discussions were held on the bilateral agenda covering various areas.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on issues of bilateral relations, successful cooperation between our countries in the energy sector, including renewable energy, was highlighted, and promising projects in this direction were discussed.
Satisfaction was expressed with the cooperation between SOCAR and ADNOC, as well as between our country and Masdar company in the field of renewable energy.
During the conversation, the significance of the Economic Cooperation Organization Summit held in the city of Khankendi was touched upon, and it was noted with approval that the United Arab Emirates was represented at this event at a high level.
Then, with the participation of the presidents, the "Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Partnership between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates" was signed.
At the end of the meeting, the head of our state presented a commemorative gift to the President of the United Arab Emirates.
