The European Union expects positive results from the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which launched today in Baku.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated to Report by the European Union Ambassador to Azerbaijan Marijana Kujundžić on the sidelines of WUF13.

She emphasized that the housing crisis is global in nature and requires joint international efforts.

"As we hear today, the problem is very large-scale, and we need to address it. And we are here to address this problem," Kujundžić noted.

According to her, the European Union is already taking steps in this direction, including institutional changes and the development of new approaches in the field of housing policy.

"For the first time, we have a Commissioner for Energy and Housing Policy. We also have a plan for open and effective housing provision," said the EU Ambassador.

Kujundžić emphasized that the European Union expects constructive and positive outcomes from the forum.

"We expect positive and very good results from WUF13," she stated.
