"Light of Victory": documentary film about the energy strategy of the President of Azerbaijan

As part of the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, a documentary film Nur Zəfəri ("Light of Victory") has been created, dedicated to the achievements in the electric power sector during Ilham Aliyev's 22 years of presidency.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the film was created by Baku TV channel commissioned by "Azerenerji" OJSC. The documentary covers not only electricity production and transmission, but also the development of the distribution network, international energy projects, and large-scale green energy initiatives. The film presents a comprehensive picture of President Ilham Aliyev's well-thought-out and consistent energy strategy. It emphasizes that under the leadership of the head of state, the electric power industry has not just been restored, but fundamentally modernized, transforming into a modern, sustainable, and innovative energy system.

It is noted that after 2003, under Ilham Aliyev's leadership, large-scale reforms began in the electric power sector, a national management model was formed, and generating and distribution networks were essentially rebuilt from scratch. During this period, dozens of new power plants were built, existing capacities were modernized, energy losses were significantly reduced, and the country's energy security was ensured.

The film consistently reflects the President's initiatives to bring the distribution network up to modern international standards, replace overhead power lines with underground cable lines in Baku and the regions, as well as the transition to the "smart city" concept. Special attention is given to the creation of energy infrastructure in the liberated territories of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur in the shortest possible time, which is presented as an important component of the national recovery strategy.

The documentary examines the green energy strategy, hosting COP29, international energy projects, and Azerbaijan's transformation into a regional energy leader as a result of Ilham Aliyev's long-term strategic vision. Nur Zəfəri is presented as a documentary narrative reflecting successes in the electric power industry, the dedicated work of energy sector employees, and the development path of modern Azerbaijan.

The film will be broadcast on Baku TV channel on December 24 at 19:30.
