Lemkins vs Vardanyan: the show is over

In April last year, just on the eve of another annual all-Armenian national suffering regarding the so-called "genocide" of 1915, Caliber.Az released a resonant video material exposing a whole cascade of lies built around the name of the outstanding Polish lawyer of Jewish origin, Raphael Lemkin, who, as is known, introduced the very term "genocide" into circulation. We will not repeat the content of that video release now, although we strongly recommend watching it again.

This is stated in a new release of the Caliber.Az YouTube channel.

"We have also written and spoken many times about the sham organization with the loud name 'Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention' (or in the original - The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention). This so-called 'institute' was founded in 2021. From the first days of its activity, this NGO rushed to imitate busy work, the main, if not to say 'only' agenda of which consisted of the topic of Karabakh Armenians who were living at that time in this part of Azerbaijan. The focus of an organization with such a loud name (and, most importantly, bearing the name of a very famous figure) specifically on Armenian topics immediately aroused suspicion and attracted the attention of journalists who began their own investigation. Very soon it became clear that this sham organization was created and financed by a Russian oligarch of Armenian origin, Ruben Vardanyan.

...On Tuesday, Radio Liberty published on its website a message that Raphael Lemkin's family demanded that the above-mentioned Vardanyan's gang stop using his name. Lawyers for the Lemkin family addressed the corresponding demand to the Governor of Pennsylvania, Joshua Shapiro, and to the Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations, noting that the institute that appropriated the name of their relative violates both state laws and federal legislation," the video material states.
