Law enforcement strengthens control over "Russian House" in Baku

Azerbaijani law enforcement has taken control of the "Russian House" of Rossotrudnichestvo in Baku, and surveillance cameras have been installed in this regard. Obviously, operational control is being maintained.
Informed sources reported this to Minval.
"Moreover, as it was discovered, the "Russian House" still does not have the necessary registration in Azerbaijan. Why it was allowed to operate without it is a subject for a separate and very serious discussion.
The situation around the "Russian House" and "Rossotrudnichestvo" in Azerbaijan is becoming increasingly scandalous. Recently, the "Russian House" published a schedule of events for February, where, predictably, there was no mention of the anniversary of the Khojaly genocide. This is precisely the case where you can see an ocean in a drop of water. In this case - an ocean of espionage and provocations. Installing surveillance cameras and strengthening operational control over the activities of the "Russian House" is a long-overdue step.
But something else is also clear: an organization that does not have official registration in Azerbaijan cannot conduct legal activities on the country's territory. And diplomats' favorite argument about extraterritoriality is irrelevant here - the "Russian House" is not located on Russian diplomatic mission territory. This fact alone is a serious reason for its closure.
Furthermore, serious questions arise about the activities of the "Russian House," just as with USAID, which, while formally engaging in "humanitarian projects" and "soft power," actually pursues other goals. Recall that USAID is headed by Samantha Power, known for her hatred of Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as close ties with Ruben Vardanyan, who is currently facing trial on several serious charges, including terrorism.
"Rossotrudnichestvo" is headed by Yevgeny Primakov Jr., grandson of the same Yevgeny Primakov who was one of the organizers of the punitive operation and massacre of civilians in Baku on January 20, 1990. Minval has repeatedly reported on anti-Azerbaijani provocations organized under the "umbrella" of the current "Rossotrudnichestvo." And, as in the case with USAID, the activities of the "Russian House" and "Rossotrudnichestvo" in Azerbaijan must be terminated.
We advocate for good-neighborly relations with Russia, but this does not mean providing most-favored treatment for provocateurs," the information states.
