Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of our country's national holiday - Independence Day, as well as in connection with Eid al-Adha.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President.

Allow me to cordially congratulate you on May 28 - Independence Day and the sacred Eid al-Adha.

The Azerbaijani people established the first democratic republic in the Muslim world, which is a source of pride for the entire Turkic world.

During Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States, which began with the 12th OTS Summit on the theme "Regional Peace and Security" held in Gabala last October, the authority of our organization on a global scale has grown even further, and our multilateral cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level.

I express my deep gratitude to you for your contribution to strengthening the Organization of Turkic States and enhancing its authority on the world stage.

I am confident that the Republic of Azerbaijan, developing on an upward trajectory under your leadership, will become even stronger.

Your Excellency, I take this opportunity to express my deep respect to you and wish you new successes in your highest state activities for the benefit of the Azerbaijani people."
