Keys to homes have been handed over to families who returned to the villages of Guzeykhyrman and Guneykhyrman in the Khojavend district.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, employees of the State Committee for Refugee and Internally Displaced Persons Affairs and the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts participated in the key handover ceremony.

At this stage, 21 families (87 people) have returned to the village of Guzeykhyrman, and 18 families (72 people) to Guneykhyrman.

As part of the "Great Return" program, implemented in accordance with the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, the next groups of former internally displaced persons have departed for the villages of Guzeykhyrman, Guneykhyrman in the Khojavend district, and Kichik Galaderesi in the Shusha district.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, at this stage, 21 families (87 people) are returning to Guzeykhyrman, 18 families (72 people) to Guneykhyrman, and 15 families (51 people) to Kichik Galaderesi.

Previously, these families were temporarily housed in dormitories, sanatoriums, children's camps, unfinished and administrative buildings.

As a result of the brilliant victory of the Azerbaijani Army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, former internally displaced persons were given the opportunity to voluntarily, safely, and with dignity return to their homeland after 30 years.

The residents expressed their gratitude to the head of state and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care, and also thanked the brave Azerbaijani Army for liberating our lands from occupation, wishing eternal peace to the souls of the martyrs who died in the name of this noble cause.
