As part of preparations for the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku on May 17-22, traffic monitoring will be conducted.

As Report informs, on May 1 from 10:00 to 16:00, temporary restrictions will be introduced on a number of streets and avenues of the capital.

The restrictions will affect Neftchilar Avenue, Yusif Safarov Street, part of Heydar Aliyev Avenue (up to the Sabunchu Bridge), Mehdi Huseyn, Richard Zorge, Zarifa Aliyeva, Lermontov streets, Khojaly Avenue, as well as roads in the direction of the Baku Olympic Stadium.

Drivers are asked to plan their routes in advance and take possible congestion into account.

The H1 express bus between Heydar Aliyev Airport and the city center will continue to operate as usual. At the same time, entry to and exit from the airport for private vehicles and taxis will be possible via alternative routes.

It is noted that similar monitoring has previously been used in preparation for major international events and has proven its effectiveness.

It should be noted that WUF13 will be held on May 17-22 in Baku. The forum is being organized in close cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and is aimed at sharing international experience in the field of sustainable urban development, "smart cities," and innovative urban solutions.
