Ilham Aliyev congratulated his Latvian counterpart

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAG, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and all your people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Latvia - Independence Day.

Azerbaijan-Latvia relations have good traditions. The historical ties between our peoples and the current high level of interstate relations create good opportunities for expanding fruitful cooperation in various fields.

I am confident that in the interests of our peoples, we will continue to make joint efforts to strengthen the traditionally friendly relations between our countries and to fully utilize the potential of our cooperation.

On this significant day, I wish you good health, happiness, success in your endeavors, and to the people of Latvia - lasting peace, well-being and prosperity".
